Even without Cate, the girls of the Globes rocked the carpet. No one more than Cammie D. You would have thought Jessica Biel was presenting alongside her or something. How Justin Timberlake could forgo this for an actress more famous for her ass than her work, I do not know.

THIS DRESS. Oh my. This is a dress that puts all the Cavalli and Versace wearers to shame. Jolie, are you listening? It doesn't count if you change the colour of the same black dress to white. It's still boring.

The pink, the pleats, the downright prettiness. And did I mention that it is Chanel? Of course it is Chanel. Karl knew that Cam could rock his creation like no other. Which is why Chanel was on no other.

Everything is perfect: the hair, the clutch, the contrasting blue eyes. You couldn't hope for a better red carpet moment.

Coming in second is another favourite of mine, Maggie G. Cammie D and Maggie G - no rhyme intended.

It was blue leopard Lanvin and it was fabulous. The shoulder puff is signature Lanvin, but the leopard print is unexpected - and it works. Alber would also be proud.

New to the carpet is big winner (at the actual awards) Slumdog Millionaire's Freida Pinto. I love that she chose to forgo a safe dress, unlike her young peers, in favour of a Christian Lacroix. Lacroix is never safe. Notice the dyed silk detailing on the bottom. Divine!

And finally, the best black. Not an easy feat. So many wear black. And so many are boring. Not Evan Rachel Wood. This Eli Saab number is not boring at all. It's beautiful.

Notice how all the exes of Marilyn Manson not only lose him but gain star status? Just ask Dita Von Teese or Rose McGowen.
