We Shop
I simply love the interior of Paul Smith’s large Antwerp store.
Haider Ackermann may have graduated from the Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts years ago, but we have seen little of him since, despite critical, and now commercial, success.
In fact, he had no point of sale in all of Belgium.
Until now.
Princess BLUE (of the Princess brand of shops that also includes Princess Country and the namesake Princess mothershop) may just be my top shop.
Every girl and her partner have their own taste when it comes to lingerie, and if you like French, feminine and frilly, this shop is for you.
Sandro is a mid-range French brand one imagines worn by sophisticated French women. Not overly trendy, but incorporating trends in well-made, feminine pieces.
This popular e-shop has an expansive selection of mid-priced contemporary American and international brands.
It's no wonder Japanese Shu Uemura products have attained cult status. Everything about them, from the understated packaging to the studio quality, screams high-end professionality and creativity.
Newly-opened Sien is bound to become a local institution with its expansive selection of young Belgian labels, completed by several heavy-weight international names. I’m talking Bruno Pieters, Christian Wijnants, Alessandro Dell’Acqua and Proenza Schouler, to name but a few.
All the big luxury brands are represented in this quaint 'department store'. It is kind of like the Antwerp version of Bergdorf's, minus a few floors and the crowd.
